Our Mission

Eliminating the trade-off between patient comfort and data accuracy.

We build systems that measure life without interrupting it.

The Invisible Sensor

Existing monitoring technology is invasive. It requires contact, cables, and compliance. For veterinary patients and fragile subjects, the act of measurement itself corrupts the data.

SignalSmith approaches this as a physics problem. By using mmWave radar, we can sense through barriers—fur, blankets, and distance—turning the environment itself into a sensor.

Operating Principles

First Principles Design

We do not rely on black-box APIs. We build our signal processing pipeline from the raw IQ data up, ensuring we understand every artifact and anomaly.

Validation Over Velocity

Speed is irrelevant if the data is wrong. We rigorously benchmark our contactless readings against gold-standard wired ECG and capnography sensors.

Privacy by Physics

Our system is inherently private. Radar senses micro-vibrations, not faces. We protect patient and staff identity at the hardware level.
